Proudly crafted in the USA, Kutzall Taper Burrs are the perfect companions for your rotary carving tools designed to work easily and efficiently where conventional tools are limited.

The Kutzall Taper Burr is incredibly versatile, with virtually limitless applications. It is perfect for producing angled and V-shaped concave cuts. The "pencil-tip" shape makes it ideal for careful detail work like undercuts and other hard-to-reach forms.

Kutzall Taper Burrs are made of tungsten carbide for incredible wear life, providing a truly unique combination of material removal and surface quality. Available with two coatings in various coarseness.

  • Original Coating — Creates a smooth cutting action and is easy to control. Works exceptionally well on harder woods. Available in Fine and Coarse coarseness.
  • Extreme Coating — When heavy material removal is desired. Exceptionally resistant to loading - great for working with wet or gummy woods. Available in the Very Coarse coarseness.

Compatible with popular grinders with 1/4" collets or adjustable chucks, including Bosch, Dewalt, Foredom, Milwaukee, and more. Click on the link to see the list of ideal power-tool manufacturers and models that are compatible with Kutzall burrs:

The recommended operating speed range is 10,000 - 25,000 RPM. They will remove material at lower speeds (hand drills, drill presses), but both material-removal rate and control improve as speed increases.

The Kutzall Taper Burrs can be easily cleaned using a torch and/or a quick few passes with a soft wire brush. The heat will not harm the teeth!
