Halstead High School in Kansas is a great example of how the Tools for Schools program can be successfully integrated into a real classroom. Their Tech Ed program used Lumberjack Tools to introduce hands-on log furniture projects, starting with smaller builds like an end table and expanding into larger projects such as picnic tables and bar stools. Students learned foundational woodworking skills with an emphasis on safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

As confidence grew, so did the program. Halstead’s instructor used the tools to expand project complexity and keep students engaged through practical, build-driven learning. The result has been a classroom where students take pride in their work, gain real-world skills, and see tangible results from their effort, a strong example of how the right tools can elevate hands-on education.
